CenterStage@NoDa is a unique venue in Charlotte's NoDa arts district. Opened in August 2005, it was a 2006 finalist for National Event Site of the Year.
The 2006 EVIE Award for Most Unique Entertainment went to Charlotte Arrangements for a client event at Carrigan Farms in Mooresville, NC.

and Weddings by Charlotte Arrangements won The Bride’s Book 2007 Reader’s Choice Awards in their respective categories. CenterStage@NoDa was selected as the favorite reception venue in the Charlotte area and Weddings by Charlotte Arrangements was named the favorite wedding consultant. Readers of the award-winning wedding magazine were asked submit the names of their favorite wedding industry vendors in various regions of North Carolina.

 Charlotte Arrangements produced two high-profile events in the Carolinas in October 2007. The Arts Partnership of Greater Spartanburg selected Charlotte Arrangements to design and produce the donor appreciation gala and public dedication ceremonies for the Chapman Cultural Center, a multi-million dollar complex in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The events, which took place on October 2 and 3, marked the grand opening of the Center, which houses eight arts, science and history foundations in its three-building campus.

The company also produced Oysters on the Lawn benefiting Carolina Breast Friends. The October 20 event, held on the lawn of the Mint Museum in Charlotte, was a fund-raiser for the Carolina Breast Friends’ Project Pink House. It attracted over 700 supporters and featured custom-designed and built oyster shacks and shucking tables, a fire pit, exciting entertainment and live and silent auctions.

Charlotte Arrangements
was hired to produce the 2007 Carolinas’ Thanksgiving Day Parade presented by Belk. The company is re-imagining the Carolinas’ Carrousel Parade to spark new excitement and increase the audience for this 60-year-old tradition.

Andrea D. Feay
was hired as the company’s new Director of Sales and Business Development. She will be responsible for identifying new potential customers and for forging even stronger relationships with the company’s existing client base. Ms. Feay brings with her sixteen years of experience in leadership, management, public relations and communications in the non-profit sector.

Charlotte Arrangements
promoted Elizabeth Webb to the position of director of event services. She will be responsible for overseeing all of the company’s events, supervising the company’s account executives and acting as the main liaison with major corporate clients. Ms. Webb has been with Charlotte Arrangements since April 2006. Prior to joining the company, she had years of experience in event planning and catering.

Elizabeth Webb
was named to the Board of Advisors for The Bride’s Book magazine.
Elizabeth, Charlotte Arrangements’ social events planner, will join other highly esteemed wedding professionals from the region who were assembled to serve in an advisory capacity to assure that The Bride’s Book provides its readers with the latest in wedding trends and styles.

Creatrix Design,
a sister company of Charlotte Arrangements, designed, fabricated and installed a new broadcast studio for Charlotte’s National Public Radio station, WFAE. The studio is located in Spirit Square in uptown Charlotte, and it features a huge window that allows passersby a glimpse of the activity in the studio and gives the on-air talent a view onto Seventh Street. The first live broadcast was the October11 episode of “Charlotte Talks,” hosted by Mike Collins.

Charlotte Arrangements was named Services Partner of the Year by Visit Charlotte at a presentation held on July 18. This was the inauguration of the Partners of the Year awards by Visit Charlotte, the marketing division of the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority. In recognizing Charlotte Arrangements as its Services Partner, a spokesperson from Visit Charlotte said, “Charlotte Arrangements repeatedly defines the meaning of the word ‘partner.’ We are lucky to have them in the Charlotte area.”

CenterStage@NoDa, a sister company of Charlotte Arrangements, was named a finalist for Event Site of the Year by Event Solutions magazine. This national honor was particularly remarkable because the venue was at that time less than a year old. A unique, innovative 10,000 square foot space, CenterStage@NoDa has been the site of numerous corporate and social events, including weddings, awards presentations, a film wrap party, a wine-tasting event and the Budweiser/Maxim Party. The coordinator of the Maxim party cited CenterStage@NoDa as “a top-notch facility,” and considered it the #1 venue for the traveling event, which has been held in over 45 different facilities.

Charlotte Arrangements won the award for Most Unique Entertainment at the 2006 EVIE Awards ceremony held on Saturday evening, April 1, in Charlotte, NC. The company was recognized for entertainment at the CGI-AMS Annual Gala, with its theme “The Old Home Place.” Sponsored by ISES, the International Special Events Society, the EVIE Awards recognize excellence in the special event industry. In addition to its win for Most Unique Entertainment, Charlotte Arrangements was also nominated in three other categories: Best Logistical Achievement, Best Tented Event and Best Entertainment Production under $25,000. The gala took place in October 2005 at the Quarry at Carrigan Farms in Mooresville, NC. Charlotte Arrangements won a 2001 EVIE award for Best Tabletop Design.

Charlotte Arrangements helped produce
the social event of the season on March 30, 2006 —Barbara McKay’s Social Soiree! Barbara McKay is one of the most popular personalities on Charlotte television and the publisher of Barbara McKay's Charlotte Premier Bride Magazine. For the soiree, she brought together an impressive group of event professionals including international wedding designer Preston Bailey, renowned wedding cake designer Sylvia Weinstock, acclaimed bridal gown designer Anne Barge, New York wedding planner Marcy Blum, interior designer Alexa Hampton, chef Chris Ivens-Brown and our own Clarke Allen. The soiree introduced the hottest trends to Charlotte through entertaining and informative presentations and demonstrations, a bridal fashion show and booths displaying an array of products and services for weddings and other social events. Charlotte Arrangements was proud to be a sponsor and exhibitor at this exciting showcase.
